John Klingbeil, Jr.
Estherville – Services for John E. Klingbeil, Jr., 79, of Estherville, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. John Besore III officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Monday, Jan. 3, 1994 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.

He was born Nov. 9, 1914 at Palmer, the son of John Sr. and Teresa (Backus) Klingbeil. He attended school at Ware. In 1930 the family moved to a farm north of Gruver where he has farmed for over 50 years. On Nov. 30, 1940 he was united in marriage with Jean Bosold at Graettinger. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville.

Survivors include his wife, Jean of Estherville; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Heise of Bloomington, Minn.; a son John of Estherville; four grandchildren; sisters: Olive Hillman, Savage, Minn. and Mrs. Robert (Edna) Weir of Estherville; brothers Gustave of Alexandria, Minn. and Frank of Estherville.

He was preceded in death by one daughter; his parents; five brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 5, 1994)
