Henry Klingbeil
Estherville – Services for Henry Klingbeil, 64, of Estherville, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Mavis officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery in Estherville. He died Saturday, January 23, 1993 at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

He was born April 28, 1928 at Fort Dodge, the son of John and Teresa (Backes) Klingbeil and attended school at Gruver. He was united in marriage to Lois Oglesbee on April 26, 1969 at Camp Sunnyside where they met.

Klingbeil worked at various jobs in the community including the bowling alley, P.G. Gray’s, Harold Mokelstad’s Hamburger Shop and he also operate a popcorn stand on South 6th Street for a number of years. He was the janitor at the Calvary Baptist Church for a number of years and also worked at ECHO. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Klingbeil; brothers, John Klingbeil and Frank Klingbeil, both of Estherville of Alexandria, Minn.; sister, Olive Hilmer of Savage, Minn. and twin sister, Edna Weir of Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Fred, August and William and his sister Mary Scott. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 25, 1993)
