Estherville – Services for Leo Oscar Sevold, 82, of Maple Hill, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Pastor Virgil Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Swan Lake Cemetery, Maple Hill. He died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1993 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 3-6 p.m. Sunday.

He was born Sept. 26, 1910 at Gruver, the son of Nels and Mable (Sprague) Sevold. He attended school at Maple Hill where he graduated from High School in 1928. He was united in marriage with Olga Bartleson on July 2, 1942 at Jackson, Minn. He farmed with his father prior to World War Two. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War Two and stationed in England. He returned to Maple Hill following the war and was employed as a carpenter for Maple Hill Lumber Yard. He was later self employed as a carpenter until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Olga Sevold of Maple Hill; daughters: Mrs. Ron (Carol) Sampson of White Bear Lake, Minn. and Jane Sevold of Eagan, Minn.; granddaughters: Christy, Angie, Nikki; and one sister, Marjorie Sevold of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 28, 1993)
