Adolph Olson Funeral Thursday
Adolph K. Olson, 81, Estherville, died at Holy Family Hospital yesterday morning with complications of advanced age. He was born Dec. 15, 1888, in Wright County. His parents were Knute and Kari Olson. He received his education in Wright and Emmet County. He came to Emmet County with his parents as a young boy.

On Jan. 23, 1913, he was married to Inger Quastad at the home of the bride’s parents.

They farmed in Swan Lake Township, Emmet County, until 1957 and lived in Graettinger for two years before moving to Estherville in 1959.

He was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, south of Gruver.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Carroll (Adeline) Charlson, Estherville; and one sister, Mrs. Hannah Nelson, Billings, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Carol; one sister, Caroline Drew; one half-brother, Arthur; and one half-sister, Elizabeth.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church south of Gruver. Burial will be in Swan Lake Cemetery. The Rev. Lauritz P. Mork will officiate.

Pallbearers are O. Harold Johnson, Harold Gilbertson, Richard Holl, Russell Dominy, Howard Hanson and Severt Tindal.

Friends may call anytime on Wednesday at Fuhrman Funeral Home until Thursday morning when the body will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 1, 1970)
