Adolph Quastad
Armstrong – Funeral services for Adolph M. Quastad, 77, Armstrong, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Free Methodist Church, Armstrong, with the Rev. Robert Osborn officiating and burial at the Swan Lake Cemetery. He died Feb. 24 in Mesa, Ariz.

Mr. Quastad was born Aug. 1, 1898 at Estherville to Ole and Martha Jacobson Quastad and was educated in Estherville schools. He married Regina Carson Jan. 23, 1930 in Emmet County. They lived in Armstrong where he was a rural mail carrier and a farmer. He also belonged to the Free Methodist Chruch.

Survivors include his wife, Regina; two sons, Max and Marlyn Quastad, Armstrong; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Karen) Dreyer, Battle Lake, Minn., and Mrs. Layton (Kathleen) House, Virginia Beach, Va.; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. A.K. Olson, Estherville; and Mrs. Ann Ihland, Mesa, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and one grandchild.

Friends may call at the Henry Funeral Home, Armstrong, all day Friday and until noon Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 26, 1976)
