Ringsted – Services for Katherine J. Olson, 74, of Ringsted, will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor William Runaas officiating. Interment will be in Swan Lake Cemetery in Gruver. She died Saturday, December 19, 1992, at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Home in Estherville Monday from 4-7 p.m.

She was born Sept. 30, 1918, in South Port, N.C., the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Brown and received her education in the South Port schools where she graduated. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Olson on Feb. 27, 1946 in Wilmington, N.C. The couple lived all of their married life on a farm in the Jack Creek Township. She was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, south of Gruver, the Ladies Circle, WELCA and the Quilting Club.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Olson of Ringsted; daughter, Sandra Olson of West Des Moines; three sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 21, 1992)
