In 1878 the family moved to Emmet county and settled on a farm. He was united in marriage to Miss Tena Knudtsen on December 29, 1898, at the High Lake Immanuel Lutheran church. Four daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs. Wold. They are Mrs. M.P. Erpelding, Mrs. Clifford Huntley, both of Estherville, Mrs. E.C. Bruce of St. Cloud, Minn., and Mildred Wold of Minneapolis. Mrs. Wold and daughters were with Mr. Wold at the time of his death.

Mr. Wold was a kind and loving husband and father, a good neighbor and citizen. His sturdy [line missing] principle and his devotion to duty made him an outstanding figure in this community. He was a good man, a kindly man, an honorable man. He will be greatly missed and long remembered by all who knew him.
