1897-1978
Estherville – Mrs. John (Katie) Isder, 80, Estherville, died Friday, Aug. 18, at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.Services for Mrs. Isder were held Monday morning at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Stephen Wold officiating.
Interment was in East Side Cemetery.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kielman, she was born Sept. 11, 1897 in Hardin County, Iowa. She received her education in rural Hardin County schools and was married to John Isder on Jan 6, 1920, at Bristow. The couple farmed in Emmet County following their marriage and moved to Estherville in 1961.
She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary.
Mr. Isder is survived by her husband, John; two sons, Ernest Isder and John Isder Jr., both of Estherville; five daughters, Mrs. Allie (Elsie) Wink, Cyrus, Minn., Mrs. W.J. (Jennie) McLaughlin, Lincoln, Neb., Mrs. Irene Kielmann, Estherville, Mrs. Kenneth (Eunice) Voigt, Fairmont, Minn., and Mrs. Rudy (Esther Mae) Bicknase, Fairmont, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Ben Kielman, Clarksville; and four sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Tillie) Blakestad, Albert Lea, Minn., Ella Kielman, Mrs. Herman (Minnie) Miller and Mrs. Siegfred (Fannie) Dralle, all of Greene.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister and one grandson.
