Estherville – Services for Mrs. Cora Ingertson, 87, Estherville and formerly of Spirit Lake, were held Monday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. Steven Wold of the Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was in East Side Cemetery.

Mrs. Ingertson died Friday [November 2, 1979] morning at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Spirit Lake.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fruit, she was born July 6, 1892, at Polk City. She received her education in Boone schools and was married to Robert Shaw in 1913 at Boone. Following her first husband’s death in 1936, she was married to Henry Ingertson in 1943 at Webster City.

The couple moved to Estherville in 1943, where her husband was employed as a linotype operator for the Estherville Daily News, She later moved to Spirit Lake and recently returned to Estherville.

Mrs. Ingertson is survived by one sister, Mrs. Grace Paulson, Boone; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, two daughters, one son and parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 5, 1979)
