Estherville – Services for Verda Doris Hansen, 82, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home with Pastors Kermit Rye and Michael Kroona officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Thursday, April 5, 1990 at Holy Family Hospital.

She was born July 16, 1907 at Huntington, the daughter of Carl and Ida (Myhre) Jeglum and attended Estherville School. March 22, 1931 she was united in marriage with Rasmus Hansen in Emmet County. He lived in the Huntington and Estherville area all her life and moved to the Good Samaritan Center in 1987 where she was living at the time of her death. She was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son Ronald Hansen, Estherville; two daughters, Doris Worms, Estherville and Mrs. Glen (Carol) Rost, Panora; four grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Jeglum, Largo, Fla. and Claire Jeglum, Mesa, Ariz., and one sister, Mrs. Horace (Gladys) Johnson, Bethesda, Md.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sept. 9, 1987, one grandson, parents and three sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 7, 1990)
