Estherville – Services for Mrs. Nellie M. [May] Rauhauser, 92, of Estherville, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steven Britton officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1993 at Holy Family Hospital.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

She was born March 21, 1901 in Buena Vista County, Iowa, the daughter of Will and Minnie (Dwyer) Williams. She attended Emmetsburg School. She grew up in the Emmetsburg area and moved to Estherville following her marriage to Arnold Hagebock on Dec. 21, 1921 at Emmetsburg. On April 24, 1946 she married Dale Rauhauser at Sioux Falls. He died in 1975. She owned and operated the DS Café and later was cook for Harold’s Ice Cream Parlor and the Gardston Hotel in Estherville before her retirement. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and the VFW Auxiliary in Estherville.

She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Thomas and Mrs. Robert (Jean) Boicourt Sr., both of Estherville and Mrs. Gerald (Angeline) Langerman of Fenton; one daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hagebock of Ankeny; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one son; one great-granddaughter; three sisters and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 11, 1993)
