Estherville – Services for Roy A. [Alexander] Goggin, 94, longtime resident of Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Henry-Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. Fred Sawyer officiating.

Goggin died Sunday [June 19, 1977] at Holy Family Hospital. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call at Henry-Olson Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Goggin was born March 7, 1884 in Madison, Wis. His parents were Thomas and Emma Muzzy Goggin. He married Clara Rost Nov. 15, 1920 at Jackson, Minn. He lived in Estherville since he’d been a small boy and was an electrician by profession. Goggin was a member of the Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Clara; two sons, Ralph Goggin, Denver, Colo., and Merrill Goggin, Santa Barbara, Calif.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one brother, Percy Goggin, Los Altos, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 21, 1977)
