Dorothy (Thietje) Schenck, daughter of John Henry and Minnie (Peet) Thietje was born January 13, 1917, in Spencer, Iowa. Dorothy passed away Saturday, July 24, 2011, at her home in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 94.

She received her education in the Estherville schools.

On June 6, 1936, she was united in marriage to Raymond Schenck at the Thietje home in Estherville. After their marriage, the couple owned and operated Anderson - Schenck. To this union two daughters were born Judy Rae 1940 and Linda Lee 1945. Ray passed away May 23, 1984.

Dorothy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville.

Left to cherish Dorothy's memory is her daughter, Linda Kepler and her husband, Gilbert; four grandchildren, Tracy Noyes and her husband Steve; Lori Dacier and her husband, Jason; Carrie Shields and her husband, Sean; Brian Kramb; and six great-grandchildren.

She has been preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Judy [Butler]; four brothers and one sister.
