Mrs. Benjamin (Judy) Butler, 38, Spencer, died Tuesday [June 27, 1978] night at the Spencer Municipal Hospital following a long illness.

Services for Mrs. Butler will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Grace United Methodist Church, Spencer, with the Rev. Mark Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherville.

Born May 6, 1940, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Schenck, Estherville. She graduated from Estherville High School and worked as a secretary until her marriage to Benjamin Butler on Sept. 18, 1960, in Estherville.

She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Spencer, and the Spencer TTT.

Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband, Benjamin; two daughters, Tracy and Lori; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Schenck, Estherville; one sister, Mrs. Edward Kramb, Royal Oak, Mich.; and one grandfather, J.H. Thietje, Olympia, Wash.

Warner Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be until time of services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 29, 1978)
