Estherville – Mrs. Myrtle Butcher, 86, Estherville, died Saturday evening at Holy Family Hospital. Services for Mrs. Butcher will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. Estherville – Services for Myrtle Butcher, 86, Estherville, were held Wednesday morning at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville. Interment was in East Side Cemetery.Mrs. Butcher died Saturday [September 29, 1979] at Holy Family Hospital.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ringgold, she was born Oct. 3, 1893, in Minnesota and was married to Wilson Butcher in 1938 at Watertown, S.D.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Social Order of the Beauceant. She also was a music instructor.
Mrs. Butcher is survived by two step sons, Wilson Butcher, Jr., Snohomish, Wash., and Frank Butcher, Fresno, Calif.; two step daughters, Mrs. Ray Salter, Bremerton, Wash., and Mrs. J. Burton LeBlanc, Baton Rouge, La.; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 3, 1979)
