Estherville – Services for Jackie Burt, 66, of Estherville, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Estherville with Pastor Paul Wiegman officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherville. She died Tuesday, May 9, 1997 at Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born Feb. 19, 1931 in Chicago, the daughter of William and Viola (Sowman) Wickert. She attended Chicago schools. When she first moved to Estherville she worked at Swanson’s Grocery store many years. June 11, 1976 she was united in marriage with James Burt in Estherville. Later she managed the V.F.W. for several years. She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and a life member of the V.FW. Ladies Auxiliary to Post 3388.

Survivors include brothers: William Wickert, Madison, S.D., David Wickert, Madison, S.D., Pete Wickert, Homelead, Fla.; Robert Wickert, Portsmouth, Va.; sister, Mrs. Ken (Vi) Thomas, Quimby; brother and sister-in-law Joe and Lola Burt, Estherville; God children, Alison Dorman, Altoona and Joey Burt, Estherville; nieces and nephews.
