Austin, Texas – Memorial services for Michael Bisgard, 39, of Austin will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Estherville with Pastor Jack Peterson officiating. Bisgard died July 2, 1993 in Austin.

He was born June 18, 1954 in Oceanside, Calif., the son of Norman and Trudy (Bahr) Bisgard. He married Judy Bailey on October 26, 1989. He is a graduate of Estherville High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp for six years following high school. He was employed in the oil fields near Midland, Texas, Fargo, N.D. and in the Canadian oil fields. He attended Texas A & M University where he was studying agronomy. For the past two years he has been employed by the Texas Employment Commission in Austin. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Estherville.

His survivors include: his wife; his son, Brian; his parents; and two brothers, David Bisgard of Iowa City and Robert Bisgard of Estherville.
