Estherville – Services for Mrs. Pauline Barbas, 80, Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home chapel, Estherville. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Thursday. Mrs. Barbas died Tuesday [January 31, 1978] morning at Holy Family Hospital. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 1, 1978)

Estherville – Services for Mrs. Pauline Barbas, 80, Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. Fred Glasser of the Union Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.

Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Barbas was born Feb. 22, 1897, at Madison, Mo., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis. She received her education in Madison schools and was married to Frank E. O’Neil at Enid, Okla. Following his death she was married to Louis Barbas Feb. 4, 1923, at St. Paul, Minn.

Mr. and Mrs. Barbas moved to Estherville in 1937, where he operated a shoe repair business for many years.

She was a member of the Union Baptist Church, White Shrine of Jerusalem, and the Social Order of Beauceant.

Mrs. Barbas is survived by two sons, William J. O’Neil, Lincoln, Neb., and Gus Barbas, Omaha, Neb.; one daughter, Mrs. Faye Anderson, Estherville; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Harry Davis, Macom, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Marcie Davis, Madison, Mo., and Mrs. Truth Lukins, Rochester, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, one son, one sister and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 2, 1978)
