Estherville – Services for Gladys Christina Fogde, 79, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Chapel with the Rev. Kermit Rye and the Rev. Michael Kroona officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Tuesday, July 24, 1990 at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.

She was born Sept. 26, 1910 at Graettinger, the daughter of John and Anna (Osher) Jacobson and attended Wallingford School. On March 24, 1946 she married Henry Fogde at Graettinger. The couple farmed in the Graettinger and Wallingford area until 1948 when they moved to a farm northeast of Estherville. She moved into Estherville in 1986. She was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church and formerly Palestine Lutheran Church and E.L.C.W.

Survivors include one son John and wife Wanda, and sister, Mrs. Henry (Mildred) Sunde all of Estherville; nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dec. 1, 1973;p parents; two sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 25, 1990)
