Hartley – Funeral services for Kenneth Ewing, 27, of Hartley and formerly of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 29 at the United Methodist Church in Estherville with the Rev. Larry Willey officiating. Interment will be held at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. He died on Tuesday, September 26, in Hartley.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

He was born on June 24, 1968 in Estherville, the son of Gary and Charlotte (Long) Ewing. He attended school in Swea City and when his family moved in 1977, he attended Estherville schools graduating from Estherville High School in 1986. After high school he worked for several different packing plants in the area. He was united in marriage to Mary Baxter on June 27, 1992 at the United Methodist Church in Estherville. At the present time, he was working for Beef Specialists, Inc. in Hartley. The family had just moved from Sheldon to Hartley last month.

He is survived by his wife, his parents of Estherville, three stepchildren, Jenny, Erin and Mike all of Spirit Lake, one step grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Nick (Cindy) Hugunin of Des Moines; and one brother Keith Ewing of Rochester, Minn.
