Terril – Services for Florence Dee Evans, 94, rural Terril, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Estherville, with the Rev. John P. Besore, III, officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Thursday, May 2, 1991 at the Good Samaritan Center. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born June 23, 1896 at Sioux Rapids, the daughter of Thomas and Coralyn (Tower) Whitehead and attended Sioux Rapids School, graduating in 1915. November 12, 1919 she married Milton Evans at Sioux Rapids. The family moved to the Terril area in 1931. The couple farmed for 53 years in the Terril area. She has been a resident of Good Samaritan Center since 1986. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Service Star Legion.

Survivors include two daughters: Virginia Stouder, Estherville and Mrs. Bruce (Ann) Brown, Bothell, Wash.; two sons: Ralph and Barton both of Estherville; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oct. 6, 1984; one daughter; two brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 4, 1991)
