Crystal Lake, Ill. – Services for Mrs. Eugene Eike, 70, the former Frances Sears, were held Saturday at Crystal Lake and interment services were held today, Monday, at the East Side Cemetery, Estherville. She died Nov. 16, 1983 at her home.

Frances Louise Sears was born July 7, 1923 at Salina, Kansas, the daughter of D. Alfred and Bertha (Swan) Sears. On Sept. 5, 1943 she was united in marriage with Eugene Eike in the United Methodist Church in Estherville.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene, Crystal Lake; a son, Steven Sears, Greenville, S.C.; daughters Susan Crum and Nancy Eike, Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Mrs. Bob (LaVonne) Day and Mrs. Eldon (Dorothy) Elwood, Estherville; one brother, Alfred Sears, Parma, Ohio; grandchildren, Louise, Sarah and Anna Sears, Greenville. S.C.
