Estherville – Graveside service for Mrs. Fanshon L. Drew, 8, will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at East Side Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Balm of the United Methodist Church officiating. She died Wednesday, March 15, 1989 at Good Samaritan Center.

She was born October 25, 1906 [per cemetery records, 1907] at Emmetsburg, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart, and attended Emmetsburg, Council Bluffs and Lincoln, Neb. schools. On March 6, 1924 she married Rufus J. Drew at Fairmont, Minn. Following marriage the couple farmed in the Emmetsburg area and in 1930 moved to Estherville where he was employed by the Maintenance Division of the Iowa State Highway Commission until his retirement in 1969. She was employed by the Ben Franklin store for 13 years. She has been a resident at the Good Samaritan Center two and a half years.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Bonita) Lines, Estherville; two granddaughters, Mrs. Richard (Jody) Netsch, Terril and Mrs. Mike (Francine) Plagman, Iowa Falls; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on Dec. 15, 1975; two brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 16, 1989)
