ELIZA YOUKER CLARK OBITUARY
Eliza Youker was born in eastern New York in 1814. She married Joseph Clark after which they moved to Pennsylvania. While living there she was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church, which she remained a faithful, active, and consistent member until her death. In 1862 they moved to or near this place, remaining about 15 years.and then to Round Lake, Minnesota, and after ten years there, moved back to their present home from which she passed to her heavenly home Jan. 18, 1893, aged 79 years. She had been a sufferer for months, and often assured her friends that she had not long to stay with them. Her last sickness was short and severe. From the first she felt that her end was near, and gave clear testimony to the faith and confidence in God. She rests from her labors, and many remember her works of faith and love for church and friends. Her champion all these years and now fourscore years of age and five children (Sylvester Clark, Jonas Clark, Mary Jane Barrett, Lucy A. Phillips, Helen L. Thomas) , (all members of the church), with a large number of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.to cherish her memory and mourn her loss. The funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the M. E. Church the 29th. A large attendance attested the esteem which she was held by the community in which she lived.
