Emery Bailey Ellsberry passed away at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Ellsberry, Hinckley, Minn., Thursday morning at 1:30, May 14, 1914, after a short illness of Bright’s disease, at the age of 23 years, 5 months and 10 days.

He was born at Boone, Boone Co., Iowa, Nov. 24, 1890. At the age of eleven moved to Dickinson county and lived there till a year ago last March, when he came with his parents to Pine county, Minn., where he resided at the time of his death.

The funeral was held from the M.E. church Sunday morning at eleven o’clock and was attended by a large company of sorrowing friends.

All who knew Emery loved and respected him; he was a young many of moral habits, was kind to one and all. His passing away will leave a vacancy in his home, which cannot be filled.

He leaves beside his sorrowing parents, four brothers and two sisters, home. Ernest and Ira at Frazer, Ia. Owen and Ida, Superior, Ia. Ernest was the only one who could attend the funeral. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the friends and neighbors. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, May 20, 1914)
