Estherville – Funeral services for Kathryn Lyman, 89, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5 at the Good Samaritan Center Chapel in Estherville with Dr. Mike Thiel officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. She died on June 2 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Good Samaritan Center on Tuesday.

She was born on May 9, 1912 in Estherville, the daughter of George Henry and Anna (Montgomery) Lyman. She received her education in the Estherville schools graduating from Estherville High School in 1929.

She also attended Estherville Junior College.

Kathryn lived in Estherville her entire life. She has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since August of 1977.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Estherville.

She is survived by her nieces Ann Murphy and husband David of Spirit Lake; Lois Linder and her husband Floyd of Batavia, Ill.; and nephews George Lyman and wife Colleen of Rio Verde, Ariz. and Lee Lyman and wife Joan of Sandpoint, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Richard, Fred and John. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 4, 2001)
