Gruver – Funeral services for Norman Frank Andrews, 87, Gruver, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Henry Funeral Chapel in Estherville with the Rev. Neal Armstrong of the Gruver Presbyterian Church officiating and burial at the East Side Cemetery. He died Wednesday [October 22, 1975] evening at Holy Family Hospital.Mr. Andrews was born March 2, 1888 in Swan Lake Township of Emmet County to Nels and Catherine Andrews and was educated in rural schools. He was married to Lois Pickell May 15, 1930 at Jackson, Minn. Mr. Andrews had been employed by the Huntington Elevator for a number of years before he became self-employed as a carpenter. He was a veteran of WWI and was a 50 year member of the Wallingford American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Lois, Gruver; two sons, Ronald, Butte, Mont.; and Lloyd, Estherville; four daughters, Mrs. Harold (DonnaBelle) Higgins, Holden, Mo.; Mrs. Linus (Norma) Smith, Fort Dodge; Mrs. George (Bernice) Gorham, Algona; and Mrs. Dennis (Sharon) Theesfeld, Armstrong; 14 grandchildren and one nephew,
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and five brothers.
