Mrs. B.F. Westbrook Passed Away On Sunday Morning
Funeral services for Mrs. B.F. Westbrook, 68, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 in the Mahlum and Anderson chapel. The Rev. F.W. Ortmeyer, officiated, and burial was in the Oakhill cemetery.Mrs. Westbrook, who had been ill for a short time, was taken to the Coleman hospital on Friday. She died Sunday [December 18, 1938] morning at 6:30. She had been a resident of this city for the past 33 years.
Mrs. Westbrook is survived by her husband, three sons, Charles, Wallace and Frank, of Estherville, a daughter, Mrs. M. E. Carnahan, of Spirit Lake, a sister and a foster-sister.
Pallbearers were William Roberts, Jr., William Hiles, Emmanuel Stavros, Irwin C. Nichols, Dan Howard and Arthur Williamson. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, December 22, 1938)
Mrs. B.F. Westbrook, 68, a resident of Estherville for 33 years, passed away Sunday at the Coleman hospital. She has not been well for nearly two years and was taken to the hospital Friday.
She is survived by her husband, 3 sons, Wallace, Frank and Charles, all of Estherville; a daughter, Mrs. M.E. Carnahan of Superior; a sister, Mrs. Nora Stimson of Spirit Lake and a foster sister, Mrs. Ben Griffith also of Spirit Lake.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. today in the Mahlum and Anderson chapel with the Rev. F.W. Ortmeyer officiating.

Sympathy is extended Mrs. M.E. Carnahan, whose mother, Mrs. Frank Westbrook, passed away Sunday morning in Estherville at the Coleman hospital. Mrs. Westbrook had not been well following a stroke over a year ago. A week ago Sunday she suffered a second stroke from which she failed to rally.
