Frank Westbrook Dies
Frank E. Westbrook, 46, former Estherville resident, died Saturday [January 22, 1955] at Sherlock, Mich. Last rites will be held Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. in the Sternborg Funeral Chapel with burial in Oak Hill cemetery. Mr. Westbrook was born Jan. 13, 1909, in Estherville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. B.T. [F] Westbrook. He was educated in local schools. Survivors include his widow, one sister, Mrs. Merle Carnhan [Carnahan] of Spirit Lake; and one brother, Charles Westbrook of Estherville. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Wallace. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 24, 1955)

To Attend Westbrook Rites
Masons are requested to meet at the lodge hall on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. to attend funeral services for Frank E. Westbrook. Masons will have charge of the graveside services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 25, 1955)

Mrs. Edith Peacock received word from Mrs. Mary Peacock, who is spending the winter with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Westbrook and husband in Charlotte, Mich., that Mr. Westbrook passed away suddenly with a heart attack Saturday. Funeral services and burial were at Estherville, Ia., Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 26. (Lake Park News, Lake Park, IA, January 27, 1955)

Frank E. Westbrook
Frank Eugene Westbrook died at Charlotte, Mich., Jan. 22, of a heart attack. Funeral services were held in Charlotte Monday, Jan. 24, at 10:30 a.m. Mrs. Mary Peacock, mother of Mrs. Westbrook, who had been visiting in the Westbrook home accompanied her daughter and the body to Estherville Tuesday. Services were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 2:15 p.m. at the Sternborg Funeral home at Estherville. Burial was at Oakhill cemetery at Estherville.

Mr. Westbrook was the son of Benjamin and Nellie Westbrook. He was born at Estherville Jan. 13, 1909, where he was reared. He was graduated from the Estherville high school, where he was active in athletics and music.

He married Beulah Peacock at Sioux Falls, S.D., June 25, 1939. He was engaged in the insurance business in Estherville before associating with Western Surety company of Sioux Falls in September, 1943, for which organization he was a special agent in Michigan. He was a member of the Blue Lodge and Commandery at Charlotte, in which he had held several offices.

Mr. Westbrook was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter and one brother, Wallace. Survivors are his wife; a brother, Charles of Estherville; a sister, Mrs. M.E. Carnahan of Spirit Lake; an aunt, and many nieces and nephews. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, February 3, 1955)
