Funeral services were held Sunday at the Presbyterian church for Mrs. W. J. Weir who died Jan 2, 1931. Ora Ann Dodds was born Oct. 18, 1859 at Tarrytown, N.Y. She later lived at Columbus, Ohio. On June 11, 1890 she married William J. Weir at Louisville, Ky., and moved to Emmet county.

Mrs. Weir joined the Presbyterian church at Estherville, Dec 18, 1890 and was an active member. For the past few years she lived at 421 N. 5th St. She spent her last few weeks at the home of Mrs. Jess Rosburg, where she died early on the morning of Jan 2.

Mrs Weir is survived by two daughters, Annie, Mrs. Jess Rosburg of Huntington and Eleanor, Mrs. Art Donnahue, Ray, Minn., two sons, John R. Weir of Estherville and W.D. Weir of Chicago, one brother, Mr. James T. Dodds, and one sister, Mrs. W.E. Postle, both of St. Louis, MO. [Unknown Newspaper, prob. Estherville, IA]
