Estherville – Services for Pearl May Tusler, 94, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rick L. Capps officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Saturday, Feb. 18, 1989 at the Good Samaritan Center.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

She was born May 11, 1894 at Hamilton County, Iowa, the daughter of Bert and Emma (Walker) Sherman and attended country schools there. On March 7, 1917 she was united in marriage with Joseph Tusler at Spirit Lake. Following their marriage the couple moved to Estherville where he worked for the railroad. She worked for a local cigar factory a short time. She has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since September, 1988. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son Dearld L. (Joe) Tusler, Spirit Lake; two grandchildren; one sister Bessie Brown, Tarzana, Calif. and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband who died April 6, 1989. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, Febraury 21, 1989)
