Estherville – Services for Thomas F. Triggs, 88, Estherville, will be held Monday, April 9, 1984 at the United Methodist church with the Rev. Tom Balm officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. He died Friday at the Good Samaritan Center.

Estherville – Services for Thomas F. Triggs, 88, Estherville, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Thom Balm officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. He died Friday, April 6, 1984, at the Good Samaritan Center, Estherville.Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Jan. 26, 1896, in Ayrshire, the son of Jacob and Lillian (Brower) Triggs. He received his education in Ayrshire. On March 12, 1949, he married Viola Winter at Terril. He lived all his life in the Ayrshire, Terril and Estherville areas. He was involved in the trucking business most of his life. He delivered for Grocery Warehouse, Fort Dodge, and later owned and operated Tom’s City Delivery in Estherville until his retirement in 1963. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Viola, Estherville; one son, Mark Triggs, Estherville; two daughters, Arlene Muir, Estherville, Mrs. Willard (Carolyn) Ellis, Fort Collins, Colo.; six grandchildren; and one sister Mrs. Cleo Hartley, Sun Valley, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, two sons, four brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 9, 1984)
