ESTHERVILLE - Services for Clifford G. Spoo, 57, will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Berger officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. He died Tuesday, January 22,1985 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville after 3 p.m. Thursday.

Spoo was born Aug. 13, 1927 at Estherville, the son of William and Minnie (Zerke) Spoo. He graduated from Terril High School in 1946. In 1955 he was united in marriage with Carol Wilhelm in Estherville. He lived near Terril until he moved to Estherville where he worked for Estherville Cooperative Creamery 14 years and the past 12 years has worked for McQuay’s at Spirit Lake. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son Kevin Spoo, Estherville; two daughters: Dian Spoo, Estherville and Teresa Spoo, Rosemont, Minn.; four grandchildren; two brothers: Harold, Lakefield, Minn., Everett Spoo, Kansas; two sisters: Mrs. Harry (Laverna) Heldt, Estherville and Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Simpson, Milford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Randy, and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 24, 1985)
