Mrs. Irwin Spratt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Moore, was taken to the Coleman hospital Saturday where a caesarian operation was performed. The baby was dead and Mrs. Spratt is in a serious condition. Mrs. Spratt’s brother, Everett Moore and wife of Yale, and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hartzell and daughter from Albia and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sawyer and son of Guthrie Center were called home. Mrs. Hartzell and Mrs. Sawyer are sisters of Mrs. Spratt. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, July 6, 1932)
