Dolly [Dolley] Dixon Farley, daughter of William and Lucinda Farley was born near Palmyra, Warren County, Iowa, November 13, 1876. She was married to C.B. [E] Seid, February 15, 1896. To them five children were born: three sons and two daughters. The sons are Gerald of Dubuque, Iowa; Carl of Minneapolis; Paul at home; the daughters are Katharyn at home; and Mrs. Dorothy Dean of Laurens, Iowa. She was converted and joined the Methodist church at Palmyra in early life and remained a member all her life. Besides the immediate family she leaves her age mother who lives with her son near Milo, Iowa; and other brothers Charley at Eldorado, Arkansas; Lora and Paul in California; Roy of Colorado Springs and two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Parks of Indianola, Iowa and Mrs. Cora Morrison of Denver; and a granddaughter, Joyce Dean of Laurens.

Mrs. Seid had been a great sufferer for a long time but bore it with wonderful patience. She died at her home three miles west of Laurens, Iowa, April 30th.

The funeral occurred from the Methodist church in Estherville conducted by Rev. Chas. H. Flesher of Gilmore City, a life long friend of the Farley family. Interment in the Estherville cemetery. (Laurens Sun, Laurens, IA, May 8, 1930)
