Estherville – Funeral services for Robert Nolan Scott, 63, of Estherville will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert Kunz officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery. He died [February 28, 1989] at his home in Estherville. Friends may call the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Monday.

Scott was born Sept. 17, 1915 [1925] in Estherville, the son of Raymond and Gertrude Scott. He attended the Wallingford schools. On May 28, 1943, he married Harriet (June) Harr at Algona.

The couple lived in Gruver and Estherville where Scott farmed and operated a truck for North American Transfer company. Mrs. Scott died on Dec. 19, 1977.

Scott was a member of Estherville’s First Christian Church.

Survivors include four sons: Richard of Ontario, Calif., David of San Angelo, Tex., Donald of Wynne, Ark., and Douglas of Longmont, Colo.; one brother, Melvin of Brookings, S.D., three sisters, Marjorie Stam of Estherville, Dorothy Nelson of Mira Loma, Calif. and Phyllis Sheely of Indianola; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife June, one daughter Diane and his parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 6, 1989)
