Services for Mary (Mae) Stoddard, 101, of Spencer, formerly of Estherville, will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry G. Willey of United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville. She died Friday, Nov. 4, 1994 at Longhouse Nursing Home at Spencer. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home, Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

She was born Feb. 5, 1893 in Estherville, the daughter of Walter and Adeline (Evans) Wratten. She attended Estherville school, graduating from Estherville High School then attended Cedar Rapids Commercial College two years. On Sept. 13, 1923 she was united in marriage with Roy E. Stoddard in Estherville. After marriage she lived in Denver, North Platte, Neb., Mesa, Ariz. and Spencer. She became a resident at Longhouse Residence on June 28, 1993. She attended the Methodist church and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Post Matron of Sigma Chapter No. 55 of North Platte, Neb.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Max Stoddard of Waleska, GA.; sisters-in-law Elvina Giesick Stoddard of Denver, Darlene Stoddard Froid of Englewood, Colo.; also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband July 27, 1969, daughter, three brothers and four sisters. (Unidentified newspaper)
