Francis Scott
Windom, Minn. – Services were held February 1, 1992 at United Methodist Church in Windom for Francis M. (Scotty) Scott, 85, a former Estherville resident. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Estherville. He died Friday, Jan. 29, 1993 at Windom Area Hospital.

He was born at Lamoni on October 29, 1907, the son of Herbert and Grace (Baldwin) Scott and grew up in the Lamoni-Leon area and attended public schools graduating high school at Lamoni. On Feb. 17, 1935 he married Florence Eckardt at Leon. He worked 17 years for USDA in Estherville as a meat grader; later moving to Windom and worked at Caldwell Packing Co. After retiring he worked at the Windom Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, Florence of Windom; daughters: Gloria Currell, Spirit Lake; Sondra Reed, Des Moines; Diane Plack of Madison, S.D. and Rhonda Snyder, Cincinnati, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 10, 1993)
