Estherville – Services for Marie Scott, 92, of Estherville will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church with Pastor Mike Thiel officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville. She did Oct. 3, 1994 at Holy Family Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home.

She was born March 12, 1902 at Armstrong the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Coulson) Ellis and received her education in rural country schools. On Feb. 5, 1928 she was united in marriage with Dan Scott at Duluth, Minn. She has lived in Armstrong, Graettinger, Estherville, Antioch, Ill. and Wright, Minn. She worked in restaurants and as a milliner, she made hats. The couple owned and operated a shoe store in Illinois. She was a resident at the Good Samaritan Center before her death. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Estherville. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by one brother, Lawrence Ellis of Kent, Wash. and one niece Linda Saunders of Laurens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband who died in 1965; three brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 5, 1994)
