1892-1979
Estherville – Mrs. Minnie Mae Strube, 86, Estherville, died Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital.

Services for Mrs. Strube will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. Max Goldman of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Scharfenberg, she was born June 6, 1892, at York, Neb. She came to Estherville with her parents at the age of three and received her education in Estherville schools.

She was married to Edwin Strube on Nov. 20, 1912, at Estherville and the couple made their home in Estherville. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Strube is survived by three sons, Merle Strube, Estherville, Everett Strube, Lompoc, Calif., and Donald Strube, Phoenix, Ariz.; eight children; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Frank Evans, Kansas City, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 21, 1979)
