Estherville – Funeral services will be held at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel at 4 p.m. today for Malinda Robinson, 76, who died Tuesday [December 29, 1987] at Holy Family Hospital. The Rev. John Besore III will conduct the services with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the H-O-F Funeral Home.
Mrs. Robinson was born Sept. 13, 1911 at Roselle, Ill., the daughter of William and Minnie Dohl. She received her education in the Roselle and Elgin, Ill. schools and was married July 22, 1933, to Ernest W. Robinson at Roselle.
After their marriage, the couple lived in Kalamazoo, Mich., until 1946 when they moved to Estherville. He was president and general manager of the Soo Valley Line Co. here and died in 1970.
She was active with bridge clubs and her family’s affairs, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by two daughters: Janice (Mrs. Hugh) Greig, Estherville, and Rebecca Denny, Denver, Colo.; a step-son: Paul Robinson of Lancaster, Cal.; three step-daughters: Elizabeth (Mrs. Leland) Willson of Hartford, Conn.; Priscilla Robinson of Hartford, and Joan (Mrs. Fred) Bergman of Kalamazoo; a granddaughter: Susan (Mrs. John) Wedebrand of Estherville; two nieces, several step nieces and nephews, several step grandchildren, and several step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, a step-son, and her parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 30, 1987)
