Death at 65 for Richard
Albert Richard, 65, retired Wallingford farmer, died Saturday [September 10, 1966] at 10:45 p.m. at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn., where he was taken by air ambulance Saturday evening. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Albert Leonard Richard was born Nov. 17, 1900, in Sac County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Richard. He moved to a farm near Wallingford as a boy with his parents and attended Sac and Emmet County schools.

Nov. 13, 1926, he was married to Ethel Klein at Blue Earth, Minn. He farmed his entire adult life in Emmet County near Wallingford, until poor health forced him to retire a few years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel, of Wallingford; two sons, Donald of Wallingford and Wayne of Estherville; seven grandchildren; one brother, George of Estherville; and one sister, Mrs. Dewey Zaelke of Paradise, Calif.

Mr. Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Christian Church in Estherville, Rev. Howard Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home today and tomorrow until 1 p.m. when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until time of services.
