Alfred Peterson Service Thursday in Armstrong
Alfred William Peterson, 76, Armstrong, died at 12:45 p.m. May 28, 1973, at Valley Vue Nursing Home, Armstrong.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Armstrong, with the Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating. Burial will be made in Armstrong Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Peterson was born June 29, 1896, on a farm in Kossuth County to Mr. and Mrs. John A. Peterson. He lived in Iowa until he was 7 years old, when his family moved to Minnesota, where he was educated.

On Feb. 22, 1930, he was married to Doris Simpson in Fairmont. In 1941, they moved to his present farm near Armstrong.

He was a member of United Methodist Church, Armstrong.

Survivors include his wife, Doris, Armstrong; one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Mary Ellen) Slack, New Castle, Pa.; three grandchildren; one brother, Vernon Peterson, Fairmont; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Peterson and Clara Peterson, both of Fairmont.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
