Dennis Anliker
Monroe, N.Y. – Services for Dennis M. Anliker, 41, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monroe, with interment in Seamansville Cemetery, Monroe. He died Saturday, Jan. 21, 1989 at Innsbruck, Austria as a result of skiing injuries.

He was born Jan. 30, 1947 at Estherville, the son of Arnold and Elaine (Swanson) Anliker and attended Estherville Schools, where he was active in football, basketball, track, plays, band and was a National Honors Society member. He earned his B.S. degree in chemistry from Iowa State University at Ames and Masters degree in Metallurgical Engineering at Denver University, Denver, Colo. Anliker was a member of Beta-Theta-Pi fraternity. He was married to Hazel Henderson. He was the senior staff engineer for Champion Int’l Corp., West Nyack, N.Y.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on the church council; a veteran of the air force, having served in Vietnam, coach for Monroe-Woodbury soccer league and was an Eagle Scout.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ryan and daughter Robin both at home; his mother Mrs. Elaine Anliker Oliver, Bella Vista, Ark.; a sister Sue Cathcart, York, Pa., grandparents Della and Eli Anliker Spirit Lake.

He was preceded in death by his father.
