Estherville – Services for Mrs. Leroy (Barbara) Larson, 66, of Ames and formerly of the Dolliver-Armstrong areas, will be held Saturday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Esthervile with Dr. Merrill Summerbell of the Dolliver United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville. She died Wednesday, March 20, 1985 in Mary Greeley Hospital, Ames.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Chapel until time of services.

Barbara Josephine Fank was born Feb. 4, 1919 near Dolliver and was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Blom) Fank. She attended Dolliver School. On Sept. 13, 1940 she was united in marriage with Leroy Larson at Primghar. She lived all her life in the Dolliver-Armstrong area until 1977 when she moved to Ames. She was a member of the Armstrong United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband Leroy, Ames; one son Larry L. Larson, Spencer; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Barbara Jo) Workman, Ames; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother John Fank, Neosho, Mo.; three sisters: Miss Tillie Vandevanter, Esthreville; Mrs. Ervin (Elizabeth) Hein, Estherville and Mrs. William (Edith) Griffin, Chicago, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 23, 1985)
