Estherville – Mrs. Jeanette Koenecke, 86, died at 1:15 a.m. today at Rosewood Manor. She was a long-time resident of Estherville and Emmet County.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Interment will be made in Oak Hill Cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 8, 1974)

Koenecke Rites Held
Estherville – Services were held at 2 p.m. today for Jeanette Harriet Koenecke, 81, who died at Rosewood Manor at 1:15 a.m. July 8.

The Rev. Herbert Brase officiated at the services held in Reese-Henry Chapel, Estherville. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Earl Stick, Walter Frick, Maurice Juhl and Arthur White.

She was born Nov. 9, 1887 in Emmet County to Ole and Hannah Anderson and received her education in rural Emmet County schools. She was married to Edward Koenecke in Estherville and they farmed in the area. She made her home in Emmet County throughout her life.

Survivors include a grandson, Terry Koenecke, Estherville; a granddaughter, Mrs. Keith (Patricia) Erickson, Storm Lake; and a great-grandson, Matthew Wade Erickson, Storm Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Donovan in 1966 and two infant children. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 9, 1974)
