Mr. and Mrs. Wes Winters and grand daughter, Miss Kathleen Hayes left Sunday afternoon for Wallingford where they will attend the funeral services of their daughter’s father-in-law, Mr. Huntley at Wallingford. Mr. and Mrs. Winters spent last weekend with their daughter, Mrs. David Huntley and also visited with the elder Mr. Huntley. (Jefferson Bee, Jefferson, IA, October 13, 1936)

Carrollton – Jack and Dean Lloyd spent the day Monday in the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lloyd. Their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Lloyd drove to Emmetsburg, Ia., Monday morning to attend the funeral of the latter’s uncle, Lonley Huntley, who passed away Saturday after having suffered a stroke. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Conner drove to Emmetsburg Saturday to be at the Huntley home. Mrs. Conner and Mrs. Huntley are sisters. (Carroll Daily Herald, Carroll, IA, October 14, 1936)
