Dolliver – Services for Ben Delose Huntley, 75, of Dolliver will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 23 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon, Minn. with Pastor Jerry Lanes officiating. Interment will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Estherville. He died Friday, December 20 in the Fairmont Community Hospital.

Friends may call at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home from 3:00 to 8:00 Sunday.

He was born on December 10, 1916 in Carroll County, the son of Alonzo and Bessie (Trucks) Huntley and attended a country school near Wallingford. He married Edith Laidig on June 22, 1940 in Emmetsburg. After their marriage the couple farmed in the Wallingford area until 1944 when they moved to a farm near Dolliver where they have farmed and operated a dairy herd for many years. He was also a seed corn dealer for a number of years. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, and watching wrestling on TV.

He is survived by two sons: Frank Huntley and his wife Vicky of Dolliver; Bill Huntley and wife Diana of Dolliver – two daughters: Marilynn Ennis of Windom, Minn.; Mrs. Dennis (Benadene) McMurtry of Welcome, Minn. Other survivors include one brother, Harold Huntley and wife Doris of Ceylon, Minn., 19 grandchildren and eight [great] grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter (Joyce), his parents, three brothers (Dave, Darrell and Roy), and two sisters (Ola and Mae). (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 21, 1991)
