Roy Huntley Services Tuesday in Estherville
Roy Huntley, 59, Estherville, died Saturday evening, Feb. 10, 1973, at Holy Family Hospital as a result of a heart condition. He had not been well for the past 1 ½ years.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Oscar Engebretson officiating. Burial will be made in Oak Hill Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Mr. Huntley was born Nov. 22, 1913, in Clay County to Alonzo and Bessie Huntley. On March 24, 1937, he was married to Hazel O. Johnson. They lived in Estherville throughout their married life. Mrs. Huntley died Nov. 9, 1971.

He was employed by John Morrell and Co. here as long as his health permitted. During World War II he had served in the U.S. Armed Forces and he was a member of V.F.W.

Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Huntley, Estherville, and Gary Huntley, Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Marlene) Duitsman, and Mrs. Basil (Donna) Roberts, both of Estherville; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, John Huntley, Estherville; Harold Huntley, Ceylon, and Ben Huntley, Dolliver; two sisters, Mrs. Howard Hansel, Ceylon, and Mrs. Mae Zitterich, Graettinger; his mother, Mrs. Bessie Huntley, Ceylon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his father, one brother, Dave.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home until Tuesday morning when the body is taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 12, 1973)
