Mrs. William Hendrickson Dies at 72
Mrs. William (Abilene Margaret) Hendrickson, 72, longtime Estherville resident, died at the Good Samaritan Home at 4:15 a.m. yesterday. Death was attributed to a heart condition. Mrs. Hendrickson had been in poor health for the past four years.

She was born Jan. 14, 1888 at Atlantic, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bauer, and received her education in the Iowa City schools after the family moved there in 1891.

In 1913 she was married to William Hendrickson at Davenport and the couple moved to Estherville the same year.

Mrs. Hendrickson was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and was also a member of the Lady Elks for many years.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ted (Elizabeth) Olson, Estherville, and four grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Chapel, the Rev. James Duhigg officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from Tuesday morning until time of services. The casket will not be opened following the service. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 28, 1960)
